Purpose: This program is designed to prepare students to transfer to a four-year college or university to complete a baccalaureate degree program in criminal justice, criminology, or related fields.

Transfer Information: Since four-year colleges can vary in their course and GPA requirements, please consult an advisor regarding specific requirements and course selection. The program is designed to transfer especially well to George Mason University.

Recommended Preparation: Satisfactory completion of the following high school units or equivalent: 4 units of English; 4 units of mathematics (algebra I-II, geometry and pre-calc); 1 unit of laboratory science; and 1 unit of social studies.

Students who plan to take MTH 245  should take MTH 154  or MTH 161  first. Credit will not be awarded for both MTH 155  and MTH 245 .

6 Prospective George Mason University students should consider enrolling in ADJ 133  to fulfill core major requirements for the Criminology, Law, and Society degree program.

See humanities/fine arts courses listed under General Education Electives . Students must choose courses from two of the three areas listed. Credit will not be applied if student takes two courses from the same area.

Any 200-level literature course with an ENG prefix satisfies this requirement. Students planning to attend George Mason University are encouraged to take an approved ENG 200-level Literature Elective.
