MDL 251 - Clinical Microbiology I (3 CR.) Teaches handling, isolation and identification of pathogenic microorganisms. Emphasizes clinical techniques of bacteriology, mycology, parasitology and virology. Lecture 2 hours. Laboratory 3 hours. Total 5 hours per week.
Prerequisite(s): MDL 130 minimum grade of “C” or program director approval. Students should be enrolled in the second year of the Medical Laboratory Technology AAS degree program. Completion of the first-year core courses with a grade of “C” or better.
