MDL 105 - Phlebotomy (3 CR.) Introduces basic medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, components of healthcare delivery, and clinical laboratory structure. Teaches techniques of specimen collection, specimen handling, and patient interactions. Lecture 2 hours. Laboratory 3 hours. Total 5 hours per week.
Prerequisite(s): Students must have completed or qualify for ENG 111. Students must be accepted and program placed into the Phlebotomy CSC program, Medical Laboratory Assistant CSC program or receive program director approval.
