ENG 121 - Introduction to Journalism (3 CR.)

Prerequisite(s): ENG 111, or ENG 112, or departmental approval. Prerequisite: ENG 111 or 112 or division approval. IIntroduces students to the practice of journalism through researching, interviewing, writing, editing and revising articles for potential publication. Explores current issues in the field, media law, journalistic values, ethics and reporting. Acquaints students with Associated Press Style, copy editing, news and feature writing, and creative journalism. Lecture 3 hours per week.
