This Credit for Prior Learning (CPL) Manual outlines the policies and procedures for awarding academic credit for demonstrated college-level learning acquired outside of NOVA. This includes learning from college instruction, standardized exams, industry certifications, military training, and work/life experience. The manual is updated annually in coordination with the college catalog cycle. Students submitting documentation for prior learning will have their materials evaluated according to the most current version of the CPL Manual at the time of submission.
