10 Year Course Limit for Some Technology Programs

A note for students pursuing the following programs:

• Computer Science A.S.
• Cybersecurity A.A.S. and all related Career Studies Certificates
• Information Systems Technology A.A.S. and all related Career Studies Certificates
• Information Technology A.S.

Any Information Technology (ITD, ITE, ITN, ITP) and or Computer Science (CSC) courses must not be older than ten years, as of the first day of the fall semester in the academic year they graduate, unless approved by the pathway dean.

Seven Year Rule for Catalog Years

To fulfill the requirements for graduation, the Catalog used for certifying the student’s completion of their academic program must not be older than seven years from the date of their graduation. Please see below an example for guidance on how to measure when a student catalog year expires.

Catalog Year 2017-2018

Students placed in the following catalog terms in SIS are considered to be placed in the 2017-2018 catalog year: Fall 2017, Spring 2018, Summer 2018

Discontinued Programs Expiring Summer 2023

Reminder: Students in programs that have been discontinued must graduate within 3 years from the term of discontinuance.
