CPL: Section 4-Credit by Examination Cambridge

Cambridge International AS and A Level exams (CIE)

General Information

Administered by Cambridge International, Cambridge Advanced Courses offer an opportunity for students to complete college level course work in secondary schools. Cambridge A Level Courses typically refer to a two-year course, and Cambridge AS Level Courses typically refer to a one-year course. NOVA students who achieved an appropriate grade in Cambridge International Advanced Courses are eligible to earn college credit. Please see the tables that designate the name of the Cambridge Course, the required grade needed to earn college credit, and the corresponding course code and credit hours. Please note, the accepted equivalency for credit and the needed passing grade may be different depending on the year a student completed the course and the year a student submits their Cambridge course grades for evaluation. Test equivalencies are reviewed on a regular basis by faculty and updated accordingly.
